Board Member & Committee Member Applications Open

Are you passionate about growing hearts for leadership through exploring Idaho's wild places?  Are you committed to sharing your time and talents to invest in Idaho girls and make outdoor adventure + girl leadership + community possible for teen girls in Idaho? Then you may be interested in getting involved with Wild Hearts Idaho. We are currently accepting applications for board members and committee members to join our team from October 2024!

Board Members serve a term of 2 years and focus on the strategic direction and vision of WHI.

You do not have to be a Board Member to serve on a Committee, however, every board member does have a committee responsibility. We have 4 Committees that meet often with work to be done in between meetings. These committees are focused on :

  • Development ( Fundraising grant writing , events, campaigns)

  • Outreach/Marketing ( Communication, Social Media, website, and participant recruitment)

  • Programs ( Adventure creation, Adventure mentor, and volunteer recruitment)

  • Operations ( HR, Legal, finance and operations)

Each Committee will have its own goals, structure, and time frame for work completion. Committee Members are WHI volunteers and/or Board Members. Your work as a committee member will help to propel Wild Hearts Idaho to the next level and meet our strategic goals for growth.

Additional Information

  • Board Members meet every month for 1 hour on the third Thursday from 5:30-6:30 pm. Committee meetings take place frequently throughout the year.

  • All positions on our board and committee are on a volunteer basis and are for a two-year term, starting in October 2024.

  • We have a WHI Board retreat on October 12 from 9-4 pm should your application be successful.
