Our outdoor adventure programs for girls ages 12-18 provide engaging and supportive experiences to explore, grow, and lead—and they’re 100% free of charge for participants.

Astronomy Campout
Ages 12-14. Where else is better to gaze at the stars than on top of the slice of Idaho that is covered in darkness? This Southern Idaho camping trip will be full of day hikes, exploration, and star gazing galore at Craters of the Moon National Monument. This is a car camping and day hike format. This trip is great for all abilities and experiences levels.

Rock Climbing Series
Ages 15-18. This is one of our final adventures for the 2024 Summer season! We are very excited to be partnering with Idaho Mountain Guides once again for a weekend adventure full of climbing. No experience or equipment necessary. Wild Hearts will also provide lunch and snacks along with leadership, and all group and safety gear for climbing will be provided by IMG.

Leadership Summit Camping Trip
Ages 15-18. Join us for our first leadership summit camping weekend. This adventure will focus on leadership development and discovering each person's leadership style. This trip will not be without adventure though - we will explore the area around the campsite and get to know Idaho's outdoors all while building leadership skills.

High School Grassy Mountain Lake Backpack
Ages 15-18. Thank you for your interest in joining the WHI McCall Backpacking Trip to Grassy Mountain Lakes! This will involve a hike in to sleep at Grassy Mountain lakes area then a day hike to coffee cup lake and then a hike out on Sunday. The views will be endless.

Middle School Blue Lake Backpacking
Ages 12-14. Blue Lake is a 360 degree view of beautiful Idaho mountains, forest, and rock outcroppings surrounding a picturesque mountain lake. The hike is a relaxing distance and there are hot springs for soaking near by! This adventure will feed any wild heart; it is not one to miss!

Salmon River Rafting with WSE
Ages 15-18. Join us for this very popular multi-day whitewater rafting trip on the Lower Main section of the Salmon River. The Salmon River is Idaho's most iconic river. It is the longest free flowing river in the lower 48 states and has a wealth of Native American and early mining history. The river is also a part of the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness, winding it's way through some o f the most remote wilderness area in all of Idaho. We are excited to be partnering with Wild Science Explorers (WSE) for this adventure!

Leadership Summit
Girls Ages 15-18. Wild Hearts' first Leadership Summit! A two night camping trip with a deeper focus on leadership training. Led by a local leadership educator, all participants will come away with an understanding of their personal leadership style and identify how their own leadership strengths and values bolster her community. Open to participants age 15-18.

Pond to River SUP Series
Girls Ages 12-14. Dive into the ultimate Stand Up Paddle (SUP) experience with our exciting Pond to River SUP Series! Join us for two thrilling days of learning to SUP on the tranquil Quinn's Pond, where our expert instructors will guide you through the basics of balance and paddling techniques. Feel the rush of confidence as you master the SUP skills, and for those ready to take it to the next level, we'll venture onto the Boise River for an unforgettable paddle boarding adventure.

Wood River Camping and Trail Work
Girls Ages 15-18. Need Volunteer Hours? Want to give back to the outdoor community and learn how to mitigate human impact on nature? Join Wild Hearts and the Idaho Trail Association for a three night camping and trail maintenance adventure in the Wood River Valley! Build Community, learn about stewardship and have fun!

Blue Lake Backpacking
Girls Ages 12-14. Explore the wilderness in a two night backpacking expedition through the mountains to a pristine Alpine Lake. Learn backcountry skills, practice Leave No Trace, and have fun exploring the outdoors! No backpacking gear or experience necessary!

McCall Backpacking
Girls Ages 15-18. Explore the wilderness in a two night backpacking expedition through the mountains in McCall. Learn backcountry skills, practice Leave No Trace, and have fun exploring the outdoors! No backpacking gear or experience necessary!
WSE Salmon River Rafting
Girls Ages 15-18. A two night whitewater rafting trip on the Salmon River guided by Wild Science Explorers. This trip will focus on leadership and deeper outdoor exploration. Open to participants age 15-18.

Gym to Crag - Rock Climbing Series
Girls Ages 13-18. A rock climbing skills progression series that starts participants learning to climb and belay at Vertical View climbing gym, then transferring their skills and knowledge outdoors for two days of climbing at a local crag with Idaho Mountain Guides. Open to participants age 13-18. No experience or equipment necessary.
